The fourth World of Concrete-staged auction benefitting the CIM Program raised $300,000 from the sale of plant, delivery and construction equipment, concrete materials and testing equipment, and recreational/business incentive travel or event packages. Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers oversaw the Feb. 5 live and silent auctionÒconducted at the Las Vegas Convention CenterÒof donations from World of Concrete exhibitors or attendees, plus other CIM-allied manufacturers and service providers.

The money will benefit the CIM National Steering Committee and help future program expansion, says 2009 CIM Auction Chairman Wally Johnson (U.S. Concrete). Funds from previous auctions have supported the recent extension of Middle Tennessee State University’s Bachelor of Science Degree in Concrete Industry Management offering to New Jersey Institute of Technology, Arizona State University, California State UniversityÒChico, and Texas State University.
