North Star Stone and Masonry has hired Susan Kinyon in a sales, administration and marketing/communications position. She will work from company locations serving Red Wing, Hastings, Northfield, and Rochester areas in southern Minnesota. She has 10-plus years’ experience in precast production, and grew up with family deeply tied to concrete work.
Fabcon announces the addition of Cargill executive Pat Bowe to the company’s board of directors. He has worked at Cargill for 24 years and currently serves as president of Cargill Sweeteners, North America.
Tindall Corp. has promoted Jeff Lepard, P.E., to Virginia Division engineering manager, an appointment following seven years with the company, most recently as project engineer. Prior to Tindall, Lepard spent a decade with another mid-Atlantic precast producer. He is a member of the American Concrete Institute and the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute.
Additionally, Tindall has named Charles Chuck Wynings Virginia Division general manager, following an nine-year tenure as engineering manager of the Peterburg operation. Prior to Tindall, Wynings spent five years with consulting engineers H. Wilden & Associates and nine years with New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co., Inc. A member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Concrete Institute, and Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute, he currently serves on the PCI Design Handbook and Building Code committees.
Separately, Phillip Iverson, P.E., has been appointed general manager of the company’s Georgia Division in Conley. He joins Tindall from Spancrete of Illinois, where he most recently served as director of Business Development. His precast experience includes engineering, estimating and sales positions for other precast, prestressed concrete companies, as well as Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute technical director.
Precast Specialties Corp. of Abington, Mass., has attained National Precast Concrete Association plant certification. The designation recognizes PSC as a precast producer operating at the highest standards of production and quality control, company officials note, and its leadership in the industry as a provider of sustainable precast building solutions for New England. PSC specializes in architectural panels, roadway products and custom precast. The NPCA Plant Certification Program involves a comprehensive review of all aspects of a plant’s manufacturing processes. Candidate operations must pass an initial inspection, then maintain certification by passing periodic, unannounced inspections by an independent engineering firm.
Bonsal American, Inc. has promoted Gil Seco to senior vice president and general manager of the construction products division, handling products sold under the ProSpec brand, as well as sales, operations and financial performance for the construction products business unit. In addition, he will lead Bonsal American’s international and contract packaging businesses.
Bill Ashton has been named chief operating officer of the Bonsal dry mix division, which includes products sold under the Sakrete brand. He will oversee all plant operations for the dry mix division as well as customer service, quality control and transportation. During his 16-year tenure at Bonsal, Ashton has held various operations management positions, most recently vice president of operations.
Andy Brinkmeier has been named Bonsal American’s vice president of business development with responsibility for mergers and acquisitions, business development and engineering. His prior experience includes a variety of professional roles, including project manager, vice president of operations, and director of marketing.
Daniel Benigni, an eight-year employee of Bonsal, has been promoted from regional controller to vice president of finance. His responsibilities include credit, accounting, payroll, risk management, purchasing, safety and IT training.
