Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI), with cosponsors Brick Industry Association and National Concrete Masonry Association, have posted entry requirements and terms for the second annual Hardscape North America project awards at www.HardscapeNA.com. Outstanding residential and commercial/industrial hardscape installations recognized in the competition include walkways, patios, driveways, plazas, and parking lots.
In its first year, the HNA awards program received 85-plus entries, and a total 21 award winners were honored in a ceremony at the Hardscape North America trade show. This year, permitting more diverse project entries, the second annual awards program has been expanded to include projects from a three-year window.
Both Residential and Commercial/Industrial Awards recognize projects comprising clay brick, concrete paver, segmental retaining walls, and a combination of all hardscape products. Categories for Residential entries include 1,000 sq. ft., 1,000-5,000 sq. ft., and more than 5,000 sq. ft.; Commercial/Industrial awards will be given in categories of 1,000-10,000 sq. ft., 10,000-50,000 sq. ft., and more than 50,000 sq. ft. Project size for all categories only includes the hardscape portion.
Award winners will be announced during the HNA trade show, Jan. 14-17, 2009, in Atlanta, Ga. Winning projects will be featured in the Interlocking Concrete Pavement magazine.
