In a Mid-Atlantic territory spanning New York City to Washington, D.C., Fizzano Concrete Products is representing concrete masonry units formulated with Sealtech-branded recycled aggregate, the only patented post-consumer material of its kind for block. Philadelphia-based Fizzano is marketing the technology as a member of the Concrete Products Group, St. Louis, managed by Midwest Products/Kirchner Block & Brick. CPG recently secured a strategic alliance with Sealtech proprietors for exclusive production and distribution rights in masonry applications. The alliance will allow group producers to help national accounts or stand-alone franchise operators incorporate green building strategies.

Formulated with 10 percent recycled thermoset high-strength plastic powder, Sealtech imparts a nonporous surface with superior water and fire resistance compared to conventional concrete block, product developers contend. It yields brick and block that are stronger than conventional alternatives, yet 10 percent lighter, and available in split-face or smooth and various shapes and sizes.
