A merger that leading manufactured-concrete equipment manufacturers Hawkeye Group, Pedershaab Concrete Technologies and companies affiliated with CTI Inc. announced earlier this year has spawned parent organization Concrete Technologies Worldwide (CTW), headed by Richard Shoemaker, president and chief executive officer. He will be based in Mediapolis, and joined by a seven-member team responsible for Hawkeye Concrete Products, Pedershaab Concrete Technologies and other CTW operations in North America and Europe.

Charles Brown has been named CTW chief financial officer, overseeing newly designated pipe and precast equipment entity, Hawkeye-Pedershaab, and all other profit centers. Former Hawkeye Operations Manager Al Iagnemma has been promoted to chief operations officer of Hawkeye-Pedershaab, responsible for all manufacturing operations. Reporting to him are Aaron Schmidgall, general manager of Hawkeye Concrete Products in Iowa, and Lars Skole, managing director of Pedershaab Concrete Technologies in Denmark. Skole succeeds the retiring Bent Holme, who in a part-time capacity will work on special projects and transition activities.

Four vice presidents are charged with new divisions: Don Schmidgall will serve as Utility Division product vice president, responsible for overall strategy and business development in pipe and manhole markets. Fred Schultz will be his counterpart for the CTW Architectural and Structural Divisions, with diverse offerings including machinery for precast panels, veneer stone and decorative wet-cast automation, plus hollow core equipment and block & paver automation technologies. Responsibilities for the Utility Division’s worldwide organization will be split between Iowa-based Darrell Haar, vice president of Sales for North and South America, and Denmark-based JØrn Hoffmann, covering Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Oceania.

Rounding out the management team is Michael Shank, who as director of Marketing is responsible for promotion, corporate communication, brand awareness and product training for Hawkeye-Pedershaab and all other CTW operations.
