The National Concrete Masonry Association has created a membership category for segmental retaining wall (SRW) contractors and installers, whose ranks in the U.S. and Canada have swelled to 10,000 and 50,000, respectively, thanks to widespread product availability through dealer and retail channels.
NCMA has been providing certification training for SRW installers for more than five years [and] certified over 6,000 individual installers, says NCMA President Mark Hogan. The SRW contractor and installer membership program, he adds, suits professionals seeking education courses, certification, information on business and construction standards, best practices, marketing materials, technical research and support.
