A new RMC Research and Education Foundation CD, Research in Support of Sustainable Development, includes reports and studies on pervious concrete; Ready Mixed Concrete Industry LEED Reference Guide; and, the Crushed Returned Concrete as Aggregates for New Concrete report. More than 1,000 copies of the CD were distributed during its unveiling at the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association Annual Convention and ConExpo-Con/Agg 2008 in Las Vegas.
Few construction projects are planned today without consideration for how they may utilize more sustainable materials and practices. Concrete provides many opportunities to help make projects more ÎgreenÌ and the Foundation is proud to present this new CD of deliverables that demonstrate many of concrete’s environmental benefits, says RMC Foundation Executive Director Julie Garbini. Many of the reports on this CD are available for download individually from the Foundation’s website. However, combining them illuminates that concrete has a great deal to offer as a sustainable building material. Copies of the CD are available by contacting Jennifer LeFevre at 240/485-1151 or [email protected].
