The National Concrete Masonry Association has announced new membership categories for segmental retaining wall (SRW) contractors and installers. Prompting that decision was the proliferation of unit masonry retaining wall systems, which has spurred significant growth in the number of SRW professionals. Numbering more than 10,000 contractors and 50,000 installers in the U.S. and Canada, they serve the industry’s fastest-growing market segment.
NCMA has been providing certification training for SRW installers for more than five years, says NCMA President Mark Hogan. In that time, we have certified over 6,000 individual installers. Membership for these organizations and individuals will take the industry to the next level. For those professionals seeking education courses, certification programs, information on business and construction standards, best practices, as well as marketing materials, technical research and support, joining NCMA is the right thing to do.
