The Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute has appointed Mike Mota, P.E., Atlantic regional manager, responsible for managing all CRSI activities in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Eastern New York, New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland, and within the region’s individual chapters. Currently, he chairs the New York City Concrete Promotional Council’s High Rise [Building] Committee and is a director of the Concrete Industry Board of New York City.

The Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI) has named Thomas Mathews director of Certification Programs and Construction Technologies. He will oversee management, marketing and promotion of plant and field certification programs, serving also as a technical resource for field practice, component, and materials issues.

Reinforcing its Operations, Environmental and Safety (OES) Division, the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association has named industry veteran Greg Vickers managing director of operations. Eight years ago, Vickers served as NRMCA director of operations and compliance before leaving the association; he returns to join Gary Mullings and David Ayers under the OES heading. Mullings is senior vice president of operations and compliance, and Ayers is managing director of compliance. The three will use their respective areas of expertise to produce and administer a full range of OES-related training courses in addition to helping make NRMCA’s ConcreteWorks (formerly the Fall Conference & Expo) a premier industry annual event.
