The third annual Concrete Industry Management Program auction staged at World of Concrete raised $540,000, a 13 percent gain above the prior year’s event.

The third annual Concrete Industry Management Program auction staged at World of Concrete raised $540,000, a 13 percent gain above the prior year’s event. Proceeds benefit the charter bachelor of science degree CIM Program at Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro, plus recently launched Arizona State University, California State-Chico and New Jersey Institute of Technology extensions.

Led by Ritchie Bros. staff, the Jan. 24 auction was staged the third day of 2008 World of Concrete at the Las Vegas Convention Center. For the third consecutive year, an International-mounted McNeilus mixer was the auction centerpiece. Among other items were concrete saws, drills, mixers, vibrators, scaffolding, safety equipment, screeds, fiber transport systems, dust collectors, testing equipment, decorative concrete tools, water meters, pumps, generators, training session registrations, laptop computers, and sporting event tickets.
