Through a North American sales and technical support alliance, Systech Inc. and Contek aim to help ready mixed, asphalt and aggregate producers drive greater productivity, quality control and flexibility into their plant operations.

The alliance combines the forces of Woodridge, Ill.-based Systech, developer of the Integra suite of batch control, dispatch and office software, and Montreal-based Contek, creator of Labsys, seeMix and other full-featured quality control, mix management and production management software. Effective December 2007, the two companies have combined their sales efforts throughout the U.S., Canada and Latin America, and established a technical alliance to seamlessly integrate their two software product lines.

Systech will serve as the exclusive distribution representative for Contek products serving the ready mixed, aggregate and asphalt industries in North America. Systech and Contek development teams will coordinate their technology sharing and product integration efforts to create a unified product addressing the operational requirements for dispatch, batch, mix design, quality control laboratories, scale management and production control for construction materials producers.

In addition to the exciting features and functionality we will now incorporate within the Contek and Systech product lines, all of us at Systech are tremendously excited about working directly with the Contek team, including in-house concrete technologists Jim and Jay Shilstone, said Systech President John Rabchuk. This is another significant step in setting a new standard for the construction materials industry.

Adds his Contek counterpart Daniel Bissonnette, Systech is the ideal partner to further enhance the leadership role that Contek has taken providing software for materials management, laboratory control, mix design and quality control.

Systech will showcase new opportunities for producers stemming from the alliance at the 2008 World of Concrete (Booth N 664) and 2008 ConExpo-Con/Agg (Booth S 10351) in Las Vegas.
