The Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI) has released the third edition of Construction and Maintenance Manual for Post-Tensioned Slab-on-Ground Foundations. Incorporating the recommendations of the third edition of Design of Post-Tensioned Slabs-on-Ground, PTI now offers up-to-date information about the design, construction, and maintenance of post-tensioned slabs.

The manual provides basic guidance for the installation, stressing and finishing of unbonded single-strand tendons used in the construction of light commercial and residential ground-supported foundation slabs. It also offers information regarding type of construction and job-site troubleshooting of installation and equipment problems, while covering recommended maintenance procedures, including landscaping issues, to be implemented during and after construction.

Construction and Maintenance Manual for Post-Tensioned Slab-on-Ground Foundations is offered as a resource for builders, subcontractors, field personnel, and other construction professionals.
