The National Concrete Masonry Association has secured material handling and curing equipment donations from Standley Batch Systems, Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Kraft Energy Systems, Ft. Worth, Texas. Equipment will be used for a concrete masonry production line at the NCMA Research and Development Laboratory.

Standley has committed to delivering by year’s end four aggregate storage bins, weigh-in-motion conveyor belt, incline conveyor, round cement batcher, and Rapid Model R500 Hi-Speed Pan Mixer. Kraft Energy will build by early 2008 a custom, 168-CMU capacity kiln; its two curing chambers will have independent temperature and humidity controls, enabling simultaneous comparison of identical masonry units.
