Transit Mix Concrete & Materials Co., Trinity’s construction materials subsidiary, reported last week the sale of four southern Texas ready mixed sites to an undisclosed buyer. Terms of the cash transaction were not disclosed, although the assets account for about $17 million in 2006 sales.
“The sale represents Trinity’s exit from the Rio Grande Valley concrete market,” said Mark Stiles, Trinity senior vice president and president of the Trinity Construction, Energy, Marine, and Components Group. “This transaction reflects a realignment of our focus to markets that are better suited to our business model.”
