The U.S. Concrete board has elected William Albanese, regional vice president of the Northern California Region, to a newly created directorship. The appointment follows a succession of executive management positions at the region’s franchise business, Central Concrete Supply, San Jose, for whom Albanese has worked since 1966. Also on the board, Robert Walker is retiring effective at the end of 2007, concluding a tenure dating to U.S. Concrete’s May 1999 initial public offering.

Separately, Robert Hardy, has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer; he joined U.S. Concrete as senior vice president and CFO in 2005. In the company’s Atlantic Region, Michael Gentoso has been promoted to regional vice president from vice president and general manager of New Jersey operations.
