Amid strong international plant equipment sales growth and expansion of global operations, officials of Italy’s Simem Srl have announced the addition of two new offices in North America to complement the established San Antonio, Texas, location.

Effective July 2007 Simem will have an office in Vancouver, Canada, led by Ard De Goede, an engineer with 30-plus years’ experience in the concrete industry and more than a decade of affiliation with Simem. Company officials credit De Goede for talent and dedication to product innovation, and are charging him with heading a group of engineers in North America that will be part of Simem’s global research team. The Simem Canada office in Vancouver will be part of the global R&D team, while also providing technical support to sister North American operations.

Also effective this month, Simem is opening a second U.S. office in Charlotte, N.C., becoming the company’s North American headquarters. Simem service personnel will operate out of both the Charlotte and San Antonio offices. The additional North American offices will allow Simem to be closer to U.S. customers, company officials affirm.
