West Palm Beach, Fla.-based Royal Concrete Concepts is the first producer to provide single-family concrete modular homes that will earn the ÎFortified ÷ for safer livingÌ designation from the Institute for Business & Homes Safety (IBHS). To increase a home’s resistance to natural disasters such as hurricane winds, wildfires and flooding, the Fortified program specifies construction and design guidelines localized for extreme events most likely to occur in the region where a home is to be built.

All single-family homes offered by Royal Concrete Concepts will receive the ÎFortified ÷ for safer livingÌ designation when sited according to our qualifying criteria, confirms Chuck Vance, Fortified program manager for IBHS. By offering affordable homes up to 2,500 square feet, Royal Concrete Concepts is furthering the ÎFortifiedÌ program’s goal to make disaster-resistant housing an option for more people.

In order to meet or exceed the Florida Building Code’s High Velocity Wind Zone requirements, Royal Concrete Concepts will use proprietary, reinforced concrete modules designed to withstand Category 5 hurricane force winds. Integrated insulation providing higher R-values promotes energy efficiency, as well as strong resistance to heat.

Our homes are designed to ensure high quality, offering maximum performance for safety and energy efficiency at an attainable price, asserts Royal Concrete Concepts President Wally Sanger. The potential for reduced insurance premiums and improved energy efficiency contribute to the lower total cost of home ownership.
