The RMC Research & Education Foundation has released a Spanish version of the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association’s Concrete Delivery Professional
The RMC Research & Education Foundation has released a Spanish version of the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association’s Concrete Delivery Professional (CDP) Program study guide. As the second of two such translations of commonly used association training materials, the most recent publication follows the Spanish version of NRMCA’s Truck Mixer Driver’s Manual, released in January.
To date, 2,900-plus Concrete Delivery Professionals have been certified since the program was started in 2000. With the increase of Spanish-speaking drivers and the likelihood that many more drivers will be recruited from Spanish-speaking community, the Foundation Board of Trustees believes funding the Spanish language translations of these training materials is an important way to support the industry’s growth, says Foundation Chairman Dominique Calabrese (Lafarge North America).
The CDP Program has had a tremendous impact in raising the professionalism of the concrete industry in just a few short years. The new Spanish version will help yet another segment of delivery professionals benefit from this training tool, adds Foundation Executive Director Julie Luther Garbini.
