Ncma Plans International Concrete Exposition 2009

Billed by National Concrete Masonry Association as the largest annual tradeshow serving the concrete products industry, the International Concrete Exposition

Billed by National Concrete Masonry Association as the largest annual tradeshow serving the concrete products industry, the International Concrete Exposition 2009 will premier in Indianapolis. Scheduled for Feb. 26-28, the show was developed through a cooperative effort between NCMA leaders and exhibitors seeking a single venue each year to showcase equipment and technology applicable to the entire industry. NCMA announced the Icon Expo plan in advance of the (Feb. 22-24) Manufactured Concrete Products Exposition 2007 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

Indianapolis is centrally located for a show launch, NCMA contends, allowing members and exhibitors an easy travel destination, plus an economical choice to send more staff. Along with commitment to a joint industry tradeshow, our members have been discussing the concept of developing an international brand, says NCMA President Mark Hogan. The association took steps to acquire the 1989 trademarked name ÎICONÌ while also filing trademark applications for several other similar names including ÎInternational Concrete ExpositionÌ and ÎIcon ExpoÌ. NCMA figures Icon Expo 2009 exhibitors will include manufacturers and service providers for block & paver, pipe, precast and prestressed producers.
