AltusGroup, Inc., the national partnership of precast operators specializing in CarbonCast-branded architectural and structural products, has named Bruce Koepcke executive director. In the newly created position, he will assist the AltusGroup board with strategic planning; creating a future vision for the partnership; maintaining a strong system of governance; and, providing management and administrative services. Koepcke will also help strengthen communications among AltusGroup committees Û marketing, technical, organizational and membership Û and serve as a spokesperson.
As AltusGroup continues to grow, we need dedicated, centralized management coordination to effectively operate and deliver the benefits inherent in the partnership, said Tom McEvoy, chairman of AltusGroup’s board. Bruce’s experience with AltusGroup and the construction products industry will make him an invaluable member of the team and ensure that we retain our strategic focus to keep growth on track.
A marketing consultant since 1990, Koepcke was part of the core team that in 2004 spearheaded the market introduction and branding of AltusGroup and CarbonCast, the only precast concrete technology that uses carbon fiber grid reinforcement for improved durability, structural performance and weight reduction. Koepcke’s marketing counsel helped make CarbonCast the first truly national precast brand. And, he assisted with the organization and execution of key initiatives to communicate AltusGroup’s value proposition both within and outside the organization.
Before launching his consulting career, Koepcke was a DuPont Co. marketing manager, winning a Marketing Excellence Award for his work supporting the Stainmaster Carpet program. He was Adjunct Professor of Marketing at the University of Delaware from 1989 to 1995.
Since 2004, AltusGroup has grown to 12 precasters nationwide licensed to sell CarbonCast products from 40-plus plants that reach most of the country’s top 20 metropolitan areas.
