Rinker Group announced an early November acquisition of a block plant and three quarries from Nally & Haydon LLC, a southeast Kentucky independent. The quarries are located at Cumberland, Harlan and Pineville in the Central Appalachian region, and the block plant, specializing in heavy units for coal mines, near Harlan. The acquisition is a bolt-on to Rinker Materials’ eight ready mixed and 14 hard rock quarries in Kentucky and Tennessee, a platform built from American Limestone and Loven Inc. properties.
