Site automation control, point-of-sale ticketing system, and operations software provider BMG Seltec has acquired TrakitGPS, a specialist in web-based hosted signaling and payroll management systems geared to aggregate and ready mixed producers and their respective haulers. TrakitGPS is an important addition to our core development team and technical expertise, notes Scott Johnson, president of BMG Seltec, Livermore, Calif.
Adds TrakitGPS General Manager Ben Palmer, who will continue to manage the business unit from its Salt Lake City base, We see many opportunities for tighter, more advanced, integration of our products with Seltec production and business office software. The TrakitGPS solution typically sends and receives pertinent status and location information from Nextel cellular phones. Pre-integrated interfaces to BMG Seltec, as well as other dispatching systems are available. Users can access their fleet information from any location with an Internet connection, incurring a monthly fee per truck.
