The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association is accepting abstracts of candidate paper/presentations and presentations-only for the 2007 Concrete Technology Forum: Focus on High Performance Concrete, May 22-24 in Dallas. Suggested track and topics include:

  • Self Consolidating Concrete: high-flow or low-slump formulations; placement methods; architectural applications; case studies; and, performance specifications and testing
  • Ultra Fast Track Construction: high early-strength formulations; machinery and robotics; slip forming techniques; pumping and conveying; applications and case studies; and, early age testing
  • Extended Service Life: high strength, mass structure formulations; hot and cold weather concreting; applications and case studies; and, performance specifications and testing
  • Industrial Floors: super-flat applications; controlling moisture, curling and cracking; applications and case studies.
  • Performance specifications and testing

The forum will provide a venue for transmitting the latest developments, new construction techniques and product formulations that optimize concrete performance. Researchers, engineers, architects, contractors, concrete producers, public works officials, material suppliers and industry professionals are invited to attend, give presentations, and submit papers. Abstracts are due Friday, October 27, 2006, and can be submitted online at www.ConcreteTechnologyForum.org.
