In his fourth such appearance, Tom Ralston, a third-generation contractor from Santa Cruz, Calif., will address cast-in-place installations at the concrete countertop seminar of World of Concrete 2007, January 22-26, in Las Vegas.

Ralston will introduce Jeffrey Girard, a licensed professional civil engineer, president of the Concrete Countertop Institute, and Concrete Network’s January 2006 Industry Leader, who will address precast concrete countertops. Approaching countertops from a structural engineering perspective, Girard established a concrete countertop company in North Carolina when the industry was still in its infancy. He later founded the CCI to offer intensive training and provide hands-on experience, as well as engineering fundamentals, information and resources for concrete countertop contractors.
