Home Depot Inc., Atlanta, recently acquired Texas Contractors Supply L.P., which through five branches distributes concrete formwork, treatments and finishing equipment. Representing such brands as Dayton/Richmond, Kraft Tool, Meadow Burke, Multiquip, Sika, Soff-Cutt, Sonoco, and Wacker, the Fort Worth-based business will be part of the contractor and industrial market-geared HD Supply, which more than doubled in size earlier this year with the takeover of Hughes Supply. The Orlando, Fla., giant brought HD Supply a Southeast network of 27 concrete and masonry supply distribution outlets and eight rebar and mesh fabrication shops. In an August Atlanta Journal-Constitution report, an HD Supply spokesman said the company is not going to sell ready-mix but is targeting distribution of products like curing agents and finishing tools.
