The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association is gathering suggestion on topics and speakers of interest to the concrete industry for ConExpo-Con/Agg 2008. Safety will be the overriding theme of the exposition, slated for March 11-15 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. While the Concrete Track hosts approximately 15 topics, suggestions can be submitted for any other track, including, management, safety, environmental/recycling, project management, equipment management, and personal development.
Show organizers emphasize that the seminars are educational in nature Û structured not to sell a specific product line, but rather, to raise awareness of innovative technologies, new applications of old technologies, and industry trends on a noncompany-specific basis. Seminars are 1_ hours long, with a minimum of 1 hour education and up to _ hour for Q&A. Seminars can be taught by individuals or panels.
Topic suggestions should be sent, by early September 2006, to the content liaison on the Show Education Committee, NRMCA’s Eileen Dickson, [email protected], 240/485-1164. Proposed seminar program sessions will be evaluated on the basis of quality and timeliness of the topic. After culling the suggested speaker list this fall, ConExpo-Con/Agg’s Education Committee will announce the final speaker selection in Spring 2007.
