Acknowledging that contractors’ promotion, advocacy, and codes & standards interests overlap with many areas of its producer-member programs, the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association has opened up its membership offerings to include contractors who place ready mixed concrete. Membership will allow contractors to work more closely with the concrete industry and gain access to the knowledge base of NRMCA’s team of professionals in engineering, safety, and codes & standards. Contractor members will likewise receive discounts on various association publications and technical documents, including the Concrete in Practice series.
Contractor membership dues are set at $1,000 per year. NRMCA sees the new membership category as a useful adjunct to contractors’ participation in their own national concrete contractor association, not as a replacement. Expanding our membership categories makes NRMCA a more forceful advocate for many common objectives, affirms NRMCA President Robert Garbini.
