The Concrete and Aggregates Association of Louisiana was presented the ACI Distinguished Achievement Award during the opening session of the American Concrete Institute Fall 2005 Convention in Kansas City. The association was recognized for outstanding contributions in the promotion of concrete use and education and for supporting the goals of ACI. By providing a quality product that is safe, cost effective, and environmentally sound, ACI officials note, the CAAL aims to increase the use of concrete in the construction and rehabilitation of airports, highways, industrial facilities, streets, parking lots, residential homes, commercial buildings, and other applications statewide.
