Upgrading its North American customer service, Besser Co. announces the addition of three members to its sales staff. Robert Frisby will serve as western region field representative, covering the western U.S. states as well as British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan with regional managers Dan Winger, Brian Motley and Ray Beasley. Frisby’s involvement in the concrete industry dates back to his childhood when he worked part-time installing batch plants for Besser (then called APPCO) in San Antonio. In 1989, he began his career with Besser in the engineering department, since then applying his knowledge and experience of batch plants in engineering, sales and service capacities. Frisby served most recently as electrical engineer at Besser San Antonio.
Jeremy Shaffer has been appointed sales representative for Besser’s northeast district, where he will join regional manager Ralph Schlereth and Fred Bahling, sales representative. Having held various positions at block production facilities in Florida and his home state of Pennsylvania, Shaffer brings to his new role hands-on experience as a block plant manager, block machine operator, OMAG board machine operator, shift supervisor and intern in Besser’s technical service department. He holds a degree in concrete technology from Alpena Community College.
John Reedy joins Besser as the midwest regional manager for masonry. With Russ Chenoweth and Andy Rohn, he will serve producers in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan (except metro Detroit), Minnesota, Missouri and Wisconsin. Involved in the concrete industry since the 1980s, Reedy brings to his new position experience gained managing block and brick production facilities, plus serving most recently as sales representative for another equipment supplier.
