Minnesota’s Cemstone Products has named Eric Soe vice president of sales and marketing. He will direct and supervise planning and implementation of the company’s sales and marketing strategies, with responsibilities including business development, customer relationship management, product marketing and sales operations. He joins from MCI.

Separately, David Pace has been named Cemstone’s vice president of Strategic Accounts, supervising all customer relationship aspects, including operations, engineering, product delivery and quality control. Prior to joining Cemstone in 1984, Pace worked for MinnDOT and also owned a concrete contractor business. Currently, he is one of two Minnesota state examiners for the American Concrete Institute and a certified concrete finisher, as well as a board member of the Minnesota Concrete Council, a member of the University of Minnesota Concrete Conference Committee, the Concrete Pavers of Minnesota, and the Aggregate & Ready Mix Association (ARM) of Minnesota.

Fabcon has announced two promotions and three new hires at its Savage, Minn., facility, which supports commercial construction projects in the Midwest and northeastern U.S. Previously serving as corporate buyer, Sara Corwin has been promoted to supervisor of inventory accounting. Her new responsibilities include evaluating plant and field inventories and settling inventory accounts. Jennifer Magin has been promoted to manager of financial reporting and analysis, responsible for coordinating the annual budget and audit processes and overseeing financial reports.

Al Musech joins Fabcon as a project manager with responsibilities for administration and negotiation of contracts, supervising the shop drawing process, and monitoring subcontract work. His 25 years’ experience in the construction industry includes previous employment at Shaw Construction. Also appointed project manager was Steve Schulberg, who will work with general contractors and internal engineering, production and erection crews to manage projects in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

Previously an independent consultant specializing in marketing and operations management, Scott Jenkins has joined Fabcon as marketing manager.

Art Macaw has joined Spancrete Industries’ Waukesha, Wis., staff as a sales representative for the southeastern region of Wisconsin. Bringing 24 years’ experience in the construction field, including eight years in precast, he will work with architectural and engineering firms, developers and contractors to provide precast concrete solutions for all project types. He was formerly sales engineer for Con-Force Structures in Winnipeg.
