To help meet production demands, installation of computer-aided design and manufacturing systems at Fabcon facilities Û located in Indiana, Minnesota, Ohio and Pennsylvania Û are standardizing design transfer and manufacturing processes for its precast concrete wall panels. Accordingly, Savage, Minn.-based Fabcon will implement its proprietary design software, FabCAD 3D, to interface with FabCAM, a computer-aided manufacturing system.
FabCAD 3D and FabCAM complement the producer’s proprietary method of casting window and door openings and other structural design details into its VersaCore panels. The computer-aided systems will expedite fabrication, while maintaining a range of design options and helping architects, co tractors and building owners control costs.
