Solomon Colors Inc. and Columbus, Ohio-based Anderson Concrete recently donated materials to producers of ABC's Sunday prime time program “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” Show staff enlisted Ohio homebuilder M/I Homes and area contractors, distributors, businesses and volunteers to build a new residence for the Thomas family in Whitehall, a Columbus suburb. Solomon's contribution included Canvas (tan/buff-colored) dry pigment for Anderson-supplied ready mixed to complement paving stones and hardscape units used for the front porch, service walks and driveway. New homeowner Jason Thomas is a former U.S. Marine Corps sergeant; his September 11, 2001, rescue of two Port Authority of New York and New Jersey police officers from twin towers rubble was depicted in Oliver Stone's 2006 film, World Trade Center.
