Chris Rodriguez and Niels Oomkes, both veterans to the building industry in central Ohio, have joined the sales staff of Oberfield's Inc. as market development specialists. They will call on architects, builders, and developers to promote Oberfield's capabilities in supplying residential and commercial building and landscape unit masonry.

Roger Becker, vice president, Precast Division for Waukesha, Wis.-based Spancrete Industries, Inc., was recently elected a fellow of the American Concrete Institute. He joined Spancrete in 1999 with over 26 years of experience in the precast concrete industry. A recognized leader within the precast industry as well as the structural engineering community, Becker was introduced to Spancrete through a fellowship sponsored by the Spancrete Manufacturer's Association, where he performed research on the shear strength of Spancrete hollowcore slabs. He continued his business relationship with a professional affiliation through Computerized Structural Design, S.C., a Wis.-based structural engineering firm.
