Oldcastle Precast Modular Group's precast concrete prison cells will be installed at two privately run Corrections Corp. of America (CCA) Colorado prisons. CCA's general contractor for each of the facilities, J.E. Dunn Construction, awarded Oldcastle contracts for design, fabrication and erection of 720 precast prison cells.

Expansion of the 700-bed, medium-security Bent County Correctional Facility for male inmates in Las Animas is scheduled for completion during the second quarter of 2008. Kit Carson Correctional Facility, a 768-bed, medium-security facility for male inmates in Burlington, is slated for expansion to be completed during the second quarter of 2008. Each fully outfitted cell will have the capacity to house two inmates. Architect of record for both expansions — Oldcastle's first prison projects in Colorado — is The DLR Group of Nebraska.
