Cemen Tech cites success in recent testing of the suitability of its volumetric mixer equipment for self-consolidating concrete orders. Using an SCD 4.5-50 model, staff from Patzig Laboratories produced a mix with 27-in. spread and uniformity without segregation. Test cylinder breaks showed strength development of 2,520 psi and 6,040 psi at one and seven days.
