The Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute Foundation for Education & Research has launched a “Foundation for the Future” Endowment Campaign seeking to raise $2.5 million in each of two phases over the next five years toward creation of a Center for Interlocking Concrete Pavement. The Foundation announced the campaign during the ICPI Annual Meeting in Denver, immediately following the MCPX show, and has raised $2.7 million toward the $5 million target.

Campaign funds will be earmarked for research addressing environmental issues, alternate raw materials, methods to increase manufacturing technology, and construction safety and speed — culminating in the Center for Interlocking Concrete Pavement. The Foundation will also support, conduct and disseminate research findings that enhance and improve knowledge, especially among design and engineering professionals.
