Systech, DSS integrate dispatch, production and QC technology
Two software providers for ready mixed concrete operations are backing an integrated business solution that will enable users to seamlessly manage their production and quality control processes. Systech Inc. of Darien, Ill., and and Digital Site Systems of Pittsburgh note that their new technology alliance will increase producers' daily operational efficiency and allow better connectivity with customers. The alliance will see full integration of Systech's Advantage Series dispatch, sales quotation, batch panel interface and mix master modules with Digital Site's Quadrel mix management, lab management, performance analysis and submittal documentation modules.
“The integration will allow ready mixed producers to greatly reduce data entry time and deliver better quality products faster and more cost effectively to their customers,” notes DSS President Farro Radjy. “Our goal is to enable users to seamlessly manage their production, mix optimization, and customer interfacing tasks within a single, consolidated process. As this total connectivity solution matures, our customers will recognize significant operating efficiencies that provide continuing improvements to their profitability.”
Adds Systech Executive Vice President Larry Curtis, “With our dispatch system serving as the conduit of data from the batch plant to the quality control and materials management operations, customers can take greater advantage of the tools provided in Quadrel and in our Advantage Series without any extra effort. This technology agreement sets the framework for an extensive level of integration between our products and the Quadrel system.”
The first ready mixed producer using the integrated Advantage-Quadrel package is Tarmac Florida. In addition to Tarmac, other major producers who have standardized quality control around Quadrel include Cemex, Hanson Aggregates, Lehigh Cement, Rinker Materials and RMC Industries. Digital Site Systems developed the original web-based Quadrel product in the mid-1990s, with inaugural users including the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.
