REPAIR TAPE

WebSeal tape's closed-weave fabric backing and microsealant composition allow contractors to prep all flat surfaces as well as seal around curbs, angles, pipes and bolts. Earmarked for difficult details, penetrations, areas where water ponds, and even imperfect surfaces, the 30-mil tape has no memory, so it will not spring back to its original shape when molded to fit unusual shapes. The product remains flexible in temperatures as low as -70°F. WebSeal's negatively charged woven backing increases the tape's attraction to all coatings, whether solvent or water based. EternaBond

HIGH-VISIBILITY SAFETY WEAR

Keeta High-Visibility garments for construction workers provides visibility and reflectivity that is ANSI/ISEA 107-1999 Class 2 compliant. Made of an engineered, abrasion-resistant UV-stable fabric, the Keeta vest is available in fluorescent lime/yellow or orange with encirling, retro-reflective tape for immediate visibility from all angles. Keeta is suitable for short-term or particularly dirty construction jobs because it is manufactured as limited-use, high-visibility safety wear. Adjustable side and front closures allow workers to size the garment to fit. Product developers note that the chromaticity and photometric properties of both fabric and tape in addition to their durability offer optimum performance, especially for use in inclement weather or at night. SURFACE CLEANER

Wipe Out Porous Surface Graffiti Remover cleans by penetrating and lifting embedded, old graffiti. According to the manufacturer, a single application will remove spray paint, marker, pen, ink, crayon, shoe polish, lipstick and other marks from most porous surfaces. Stubborn stains like caulking, compounds, spray booth paints, two-part paints, epoxies, and urethanes can be tackled using the environmentally friendly, biodegradable gel, product developers contend. Wipe Out can be applied by brush, roller or spray to brick, concrete, mortar, stucco, pavers, granite, and other natural stone. The product is available in quart, gallon, and five-gallon containers. Cleaned surfaces can be treated with company's CPU 647 Non-Sacrificial Graffiti Barrier Coating or SC 101 Sacrificial Graffiti Barrier Coating. Dumond Chemicals

LOGISTICS SOFTWARE

ControlBoard is a scheduling, resource and dispatch software tool for commercial construction. Its drag-and-drop features allow owners, project managers and dispatchers to see jobs, crews, equipment and schedules (hours, days, weeks, months) at a glance. As changes are made, ControlBoard's underlying “intelligent database” engine automatically updates all information across the board, so everyone throughout a project is aware of new data instantly. Built specifically for the heavy construction industry and tested extensively with industry leaders, developers note, ControlBoard has been shown to improve productivity by as much as 10 percent. SEALANT ACCELERATOR

Sikaflex-2c Booster is a two-component, long pot life, polyurethane product used to seal construction joints. When mixed with Sikaflex-2c NS EZ Mix, it speeds up cure rate and tack-free time in cold temperatures, making it suitable for applications in below-freezing conditions. The booster is available in small applicators for easy addition to Sikaflex-2c NS EZ Mix before mixing and applying. Sika Corp.

SHORT-TERM REBAR COATING

Based on proprietary MCI corrosion protection, a new environmentally friendly rebar coating utilizes water-based chemistry, allowing for unsheltered, outdoor storage and embedded concrete applications. MCI Coating for Rebar reportedly protects against corrosive attack for up to 60 months during indoor storage and up to 24 months for unsheltered, outdoor storage. The coating passes 600 hours in salt spray cabinet (ASTM B-117) and more than 1,500 hours in the humidity chamber (ASTM D-1748).

The easy-to-apply coating cures to a soft non-tacky film and eventually hardens. As it does not become brittle, cracks and crazing do not lead to corrosive attack. Described by the manufacturer as self-healing, MCI Coating replenishes protection where corrosive elements slip through. In addition to protecting common steel rebar, the coating affords multi-metal protection for a variety of ferrous and nonferrous construction metals. Cortec Corp.

TRAVERSE TELEHANDLER

The rough-terrain Model T8044 Extendo Traverse Telehandler features nearly 6 ft. (70 in.) of horizontal boom travel at any lift height, allowing precision load placement through windows and other openings. With a low-profile design, the T8044 also operates in low-overhead areas, fitting under 8-ft. doors, for example, to provide greater flexibility.

A standard Cummins turbocharged 110-hp diesel engine with full electronic control powers the unit and meets Tier II low-emission standards. With a lift capacity of 8,000 lbs., a lift height of 44 ft. 8 in. and a 36-in. forward reach, plus an 11.5-ft. turning radius, the T8044 is suitable for all material handling in construction and masonry.
