Engineer commercializes panel-based ICF system
Competitive Technologies of Fairfield, Conn., has signed an agreement to represent an Ontario-based engineer, McKay, McLaughlin & Associates, in the commercialization of a new insulating concrete form technology. CTT will license MMA's Supporting Insulating Panel system to major insulation board fabricators. MMA's technology uses extruded insulation panels to form and insulate concrete walls and foundations.
“Harry McKay's invention satisfies an important need in the building industry,” notes CTT Vice President of Business Development Aris Despo. “It fills a niche in the environmentally and cost-conscious ICF market. We believe the major board manufacturers will quickly and easily make the MMA technology an industry standard without having to modify their own board extrusion operations.”
