Dallas-based Centex Construction Products has named Gerald Essl executive vice president-Cement/Concrete and Aggregates, replacing Steve Rowley, who was recently named chief operating officer. Essl will be responsible for a business group spanning Texas, Nevada and California operations, including Texas Lehigh Cement Co., which he has headed since 1985. Texas Lehigh is a joint venture with Pennsylvania-based Lehigh Cement Co. Centex Construction Products is an NYSE company traded separately from its majority owner, home building giant Centex Corp. of Dallas.
