Meritor Inc. will supply front- and rear-drive axles to Terex Advance Mixer under a standard position agreement. Earlier installations make way for a seamless transition of incorporating the Meritor components into Terex Advance’s specs.

With nearly 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Bentley joins the batch plant manufacturer from the BHS-Sonthofen North America Division in Charlotte, N.C., where he managed twin shaft mixer sales and installations.

Rated at 140,000 lb. capacity overall, the XL 140 Hydraulic Detachable Extendable (HDE) model can handle large machinery or commercial freight of all sizes. With its low rear deck height of 28 inches, it can haul freight normally seen on a step deck trailer, but with the added efficiency of a hydraulic neck. The 13-axle unit includes a three-axle trailer, three-axle jeep, and three-axle power booster. The XL classic-style hydraulic gooseneck is 13-ft., 8-in. long and includes a 52-in. fifth wheel height with seven ride height positions, as well as a 9-ft., 9-in. flip neck for the three-axle jeep.
