Lehigh Mitchell mill garners Indiana Century Award

Lehigh Cement Company LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lehigh Hanson, Inc., was presented the Governor’s Century Business Award, which honors Indiana businesses that have remained in operation for at least 100 years and demonstrated a commitment to community service. Governor Eric Holcomb recognized the Lehigh Mitchell plant and company officials during an early-April award ceremony at the Indiana Statehouse in Indianapolis.

American Cement, CalPortland, Lehigh plants join Energy Star Industrial roster

Seattle Teamsters bask in contract settling disruptive CalPortland strike

Teamsters Local 174 rank & file have approved a four-year contract with the Seattle market’s principal ready mixed operators: CalPortland, Cadman and Lehigh Cement, Stoneway Concrete, and Salmon Bay Sand & Gravel. Ratification of a deal covering nearly 300 drivers had major implications for concrete deliveries in downtown Seattle and areas immediately north, where technology companies and their employees are fueling a wave of mid- and high-rise building projects.
