A manufacturing and supply agreement with Textron Specialized Vehicle positions Caterpillar Inc. for a mid-2018 launch of its first-ever utility vehicles, starting with the Cat CUV82 and CUV102D models running three-cylinder gas and diesel engines, respectively. Each model features rugged steel cargo bed; 1,000-lb. total rear cargo and 2,000-lb. towing capacities; plus smooth acceleration, clear sightlines and engine braking capability.
