The Gehl RS4-14 is presented as a highly versatile machine that excels in loader, telescopic handler and industrial forklift applications. At just under 60 inches wide and 75 inches tall, it is the company’s most compact model, yet maintains a full-size cab. It boasts a 4,400-lb. maximum lift capacity, 14-ft. 3-in. lift height, and 9-ft. outreach. The RS4-14 has four-wheel drive, three steering modes and a 10-ft. 1-in. turning radius, and can work on uneven terrain and in confined spaces.

Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua, S.A.B. de C.V. reports ramp up of a 440,000-metric-ton capacity expansion of its Rapid City, S.D., cement plant. Work at the Dacotah mill began in 2016, with a total investment of just over $100 million. The expansion increases the plant’s production capacity to 1,167,000 mt and is expected to reduce variable production costs. Tie-in of the new facilities was completed in late November, while production—suspended during that phase—has resumed and the new facilities are in the stabilization process.

Weighing in at 4-5 metric tons, the 650 and 750 articulated loaders represent Gehl’s expansion into the 60- to 80-hp size class. Both models have Tier IV-certified engine emissions technology: a Yanmar 64.4-hp engine on the 650 and a Deutz 74.3-hp engine on the 750. The Yanmar uses a diesel particulate filter after-treating system, while the Deutz engine uses a diesel oxidation catalyst after-treatment system, which allows users to choose their preferred emissions system.
