Ultra Fiber Deal Reinforces Solomon Colors' Portfolio

Solomon Colors Inc. has acquired technology and assets associated with the Ultra Fiber 500 product line of concrete secondary reinforcement fibers. Announcing a deal with Georgia Pacific LLC, company president Richard Solomon noted that Ultra Fiber 500 offers “superb finishing quality, unsurpassed crack control, better hydration and bonding, a true invisible fiber for decorative concrete, and fully automated dispensing system capability.”

Davis Colors Transitions to Chemical Giant Huntsman

In a cash deal hovering $1 billion, plus assumption of overseas pension liabilities, The Woodlands, Texas-based Huntsman Corp. has closed on Rockwood Holdings’ Titanium Dioxide and Performance Additives businesses, the latter including legacy concrete pigment producer Davis Colors of Los Angeles.

Hamilton Chief Named PCI Titan

He joins an elite group of leaders who PCI credits with having a profound effect on industry advancement. The Institute named 50 charter Titans as part of its 50th anniversary observance in 2004.

Ex-Navistar Business Rebranded Continental Mixer Solutions
