will move its corporate office by mid-year from Houston to Euless, Texas. The Dallas-area headquarters will be co-located with the home office of one of the producer’s largest regional businesses, Redi-Mix. The company employs 46 in Houston and will realize staff consolidation, cost savings, and improved operating efficiencies in the new location.

Rockwood sites $115 million pigment operation in Georgia

The Color Pigments and Services business of Princeton, N.J.-based Rockwood Holdings Inc. will build an advanced technology production facility in Augusta, Ga.—the first new iron oxide pigment operation in the U.S. in 35 years.

Hanson Pipe extends Ohio stake with Sherman-Dixie plant deal

Hanson Pipe & Precast, Irving, Texas, has acquired the Sherman-Dixie Concrete precast operation in Dayton, Ohio, adding the property to an East Region portfolio that includes Sidney and Columbus, Ohio, sites.
