CC072220 Con EAstec Industries has closed on Blair, Neb.-based Concrete Equipment Co., adding the mainstay batch plant manufacturer to an Infrastructure Solutions group portfolio that includes peer operator Rexcon LLC. The business was acquired from Wisconsin-based Oshkosh Corp., where Con-E-Co had served since 2005 as a plant equipment companion to namesake and McNeilus front and rear discharge mixer truck offerings.

“The addition of this well-known brand will strengthen our ability to serve customers’ needs—Rock to Road,” says Astec CEO Barry Ruffalo. “Con-E-Co is an excellent cultural fit with Astec, as they are customer focused, innovative and performance-oriented.”

Con-E-Co engineers, manufactures and supports a complete line of portable and stationary concrete batch plants, mixers, material handling systems and dust control components. Astec’s manufacturing operations span Infrastructure Solutions, including concrete and asphalt plant, road building, plus thermal and storage solutions; and, Materials Solutions, encompassing aggregate processing and mining iron.
