Josh Leftwich will join Texas Aggregates & Concrete Association in mid-June as president and chief executive officer. He succeeds David Perkins, who has been named vice president of Government Affairs and Communications for Lehigh Hanson Inc., Irving, Texas.

Leftwich will arrive in the Texas capital from the Knife River Corp. Southern Division, where he has served a manager of Business Development, Environmental and Safety. He brings the association 20-plus years’ overall experience in mining and energy regulatory policy, legislative engagement, environmental permitting, business planning and risk management.

“[Josh Leftwich’s] versatile industry experience will prove invaluable to TACA and its membership as we face the many challenges ahead, most importantly ensuring that Texas has the infrastructure to sustain the needs of a growing state,” says Chairman Paul Rouse.

“I am encouraged by the many opportunities on the horizon for our Association,” adds Leftwich. “We have much work to do to reopen the economy and provide the foundation for the long-term growth and prosperity of the Lone Star State.”
