A fixture in architectural and structural precast from Mid-Atlantic to Southeast to South Central markets plans a major capacity expansion in its home base. In conjunction with the South Carolina Department of Commerce, Tindall Corp. has outlined a $27.9 million investment for a new Utility Division production facility in Spartanburg.
“As we have provided infrastructure products for so much of the industrial and residential growth in our region, we are excited to now add our name to the list of manufacturing operations that build and grow new opportunities here in Spartanburg,” says Tindall Vice President & General Manager Joel Sheets. The operation is scheduled for completion in early 2021, he notes, and will launch with a payroll of 20.
The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has awarded Spartanburg County a $100,000 Set-Aside grant for costs related to the plant construction. “Tindall Corporation has been a solid corporate partner, providing great jobs and excellent products for over five decades,” affirms County Council Chairman A. Manning Lynch. “This expansion will allow for increased production capacity, market diversification and new automation solutions.”
“Now more than ever we are working hard to take care of the companies that call South Carolina home, and the people they employ,” noted Governor Henry McMaster in a statement on the project. “Tindall Corporation is a great South Carolina company, and we congratulate them on their investment that will bring more jobs to the Upstate.”
