CIM Programs and Patrons start year strong after solid 2019

The Concrete Industry Management program auction grossed more than $1.2 million from bidding on a Mack Granite-mounted McNeilus Bridgemaster mixer, Somero S-485 laser screed, Shumaker Load and Go truck wash system, Mahindra Automotive 2020 Roxor off-road vehicle, and a host of smaller ticket product, material, equipment, and entertainment, sports or travel package offerings. The event was staged at the Las Vegas Convention Center amid World of Concrete 2020 day two activities. Proceeds will benefit CIM degree programs at Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro; New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark; Texas State University, San Marcos; and, California State University, Chico.

The CIM Auction centerpiece parks in a Las Vegas Convention Center spot few World of Concrete attendees can miss.

“The 2020 World of Concrete Auction was our best ever … a tremendous success, both in terms of the value of donated items and number of attendees. The results are indicative of the high value the concrete industry places on the CIM program,” affirms CIM Auction Committee Chairman Ben Robuck (Cemex USA).

Along with the biggest ticket items, CIM Marketing Committee Chairman Brian Gallagher cites cement and admixture donations from Argos, BASF, Cemex USA, Chryso, CarbonCure Technologies, Euclid Chemical, GCP Applied Technologies, LafargeHolcim, Lehigh Hanson, Martin Marietta, Roanoke Cement, Sika Corp. and St Marys Cement. “We thank the many companies that donated items to the Auction to make it a complete success,” he adds. “Once again, we had incredible support from the World of Concrete show management, Informa and Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers.”
